Now that is a contradictory title. How can I hope that my Saviour comes soon, but even before the next breath, I hope He doesn’t. Well, let me ask you this. Are you ready for His return?

Salvation through Christ
Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Have you called upon His name? Have you accepted Him as the Lord of your life? Has He saved you from death? I can say with certainty, that I have, I have and He did. What about you? Are you sure? The times we live in are uncertain to say the least. We are living faster, experiencing more, taking a big drink of life. But how can we really live it to the fullest without God. We were created by Him – a reflection of His glory.

If you were to meet God today, would you be ready? The trumpets could sound at any moment. Are you listening for their sound?

Matthew 24:36
“No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

He’s coming soon
1 Thessalonians 5
1 Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

Many say the pains are coming quicker, now. As I have not had children, I do not know of them. It seems more like Braxton-Hicks contractions to me. The world spins for a while, nothing major happens, then all of a sudden, major events start happening. I have to admit, the most recent events regarding Israel have me wondering. Is this a real labor pain? I have often thought to the beginning of the first Left Behind book when Israel is attacked in all directions. I am curious if the current conflict is leading up to something like that. Based on the knowledge I have of Biblical prophecy, a lot of things happen in a short period of time, then the Believers in Christ are raptured. Wait, am I ready to go?

But, maybe I don’t
I love Jesus, with more and more of my heart everyday. I am learning more and more about God everyday. We just completed some witnessing training. So, with whom have I shared this news. The regrettable answer is…not as many as I should have or want to. There are family members that I may or may not see in Heaven. There are friends who may be left behind. I don’t want anyone to have to endure the tribulation. Many will. Many will die, some without a Saviour.

I need to walk my talk. It is not so much for a “Well done my good and faithful servant”. It is so much more than that.
