I can hear the Intel crazies right now, “Intel is going to toast AMD!! AMd is going to be destroyed!!” Well, maybe. The benchmarks everyone is chortling over are ones at IDF run by Intel. When the chips are released retail in a few months and some truly independent folks can run benchmarks we’ll see what is really happening. There are questions about the mobo used for the AMD(ATI based which is a very poorly performing AMD chipset). Intel still has to beat the value AMD has built but if they can grab power and performance then price won’t be that big of a concern. I wait for the independent bechmarks.
